A significant rift has reportedly emerged between notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, creating a new challenge for intelligence agencies and police forces. The two, previously known for their close collaboration, have allegedly parted ways, leading to concerns about potential turf wars and a realignment of loyalties within their criminal network.
Sources indicate that the fallout stemmed from Lawrence Bishnoi's dissatisfaction with Goldy Brar and Sachin Godara's handling of his brother Anmol's case in the United States. Anmol was arrested by US immigration officials in November 2024 for allegedly using forged travel documents. He has also been linked to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022 and named as the "mastermind" behind the killing of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique last year. Bishnoi was reportedly upset that Brar and Godara did not adequately assist Anmol in filing the required bail bond.
According to sources, both gangsters have decided to cease their collaboration. Goldy Brar has reportedly aligned himself with Azerbaijan-based Rohit Godara, while Lawrence Bishnoi is now associated with Canada-based Noni Rana. This development has been discussed with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) by police officers from Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi.
Lawrence Bishnoi, born Balkaran Brar on February 12, 1993, is an Indian gangster who leads the "Bishnoi gang," reportedly connected to over 700 shooters globally. He has been incarcerated since 2014 and faces numerous criminal charges, including extortion and murder, though he denies all allegations. Bishnoi's criminal career began in Chandigarh between 2010 and 2012, with cases related to attempted murder, trespassing, assault, and robbery stemming from his involvement in student politics. In October 2024, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) alleged that criminal groups, including the Bishnoi gang, were used by "agents of the Government of India" to target individuals linked to the Khalistan movement in Canada.
Goldy Brar, whose real name is Satinderjeet Singh, was born on March 11, 1994. He is a Canada-based Indian gangster wanted by Indian authorities for murder, attempted murder, and drug trafficking. Brar is officially designated a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The Home Ministry has accused him of involvement in smuggling weapons and explosives across the India-Pakistan border via drones and conspiring to disrupt peace in Punjab through targeted killings and terror recruitment.
The split between Bishnoi and Brar has raised concerns among security agencies. The new alliances and potential conflicts could lead to increased violence and instability. Law enforcement agencies are closely monitoring the situation and strategizing to counter any potential threats arising from this fallout.
