In a bizarre turn of events in Uttar Pradesh, a newlywed woman eloped with her lover, prompting her husband to express relief, stating he was "glad to avoid a fate like Raja Raghuvanshi." This statement references a recent and shocking case where an Indore man, Raja Raghuvanshi, was allegedly murdered by his wife during their honeymoon in Meghalaya.
The UP incident involves a 20-year-old woman named Khushboo, who married Sunil, 23, on May 17th. After spending nine days at her in-laws' home, she went to her maternal home as per tradition. However, instead of returning to her husband's house, she eloped with her lover ten days later. Sunil reported her missing to the police.
In an unexpected twist, Khushboo herself appeared at the Bisauli police station on Monday and declared her desire to live with her lover. The police facilitated a settlement between both families, who mutually agreed to part ways. Wedding gifts, including jewelry and household items, were returned, and neither side pursued legal action.
Sunil, speaking to the media, expressed relief that his life was not ruined. He stated that he had planned a honeymoon trip to Nainital. He further added, "But if she wants to be with her lover, I'm happy too. At least I'm glad I didn't end up like Raja Raghuvanshi. Now all three of us are happy, she found love, and my life didn't get ruined." Sunil’s sister-in-law Radha, mentioned that Khushboo only stayed with them for eight days and then ran away with her lover from the same village.
The reference to Raja Raghuvanshi stems from a chilling case that has captured national attention. Raja Raghuvanshi, a businessman from Indore, was found murdered in Meghalaya on June 2nd, where he was honeymooning with his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. The couple had married on May 11th and traveled to Meghalaya on May 21st. They were reported missing on May 23rd.
Investigations revealed that Sonam, along with her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, and three others, conspired to murder Raja. Sonam was arrested in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and confessed to her role in the murder. The police have also arrested Raj Kushwaha and the three alleged hitmen. A machete, believed to be the murder weapon, has been recovered.
The Meghalaya police have recreated the crime scene and are exploring multiple angles in the Raja Raghuvanshi case, including the possibility of a love triangle and allegations of black magic. Raja's family has alleged that Sonam practiced black magic and may have even used it to influence Raja. They suspect that the murder was a result of occult practices.
The stark contrast between the two cases highlights the unpredictable nature of relationships and the varying outcomes that can arise. While the UP man is relieved to have avoided potential harm, the Raghuvanshi case serves as a grim reminder of the devastating consequences of betrayal and violence. The police investigation is ongoing and seeks to uncover all the motives behind the crime.
