Indiana High School Softball Championship Games: Recognizing and Celebrating the Exceptional Performances of Top Athletes.

The 2025 Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) softball state championship games showcased exceptional talent across all four classes. Held at Purdue University's Bittinger Stadium, the finals delivered a series of memorable performances and dramatic finishes.

In Class 1A, North Newton secured the school's first-ever state title in any sport, defeating Clay City 2-0. Pitcher Sydney Rainford dominated from the circle, throwing a two-hit shutout while striking out an impressive 17 batters. Rainford also contributed offensively, driving in a run. Macy Busboom also aided the offense by going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Paige Culbreth matched Busboom's performance at the plate, also going 2-for-3. Rainford's remarkable performance earned her the Mental Attitude Award, capping off a 24-3-1 season.

Tecumseh added to their storied softball legacy in Class 2A, claiming their sixth state championship and their first since moving up in classification. They achieved this by shutting out Andrean 2-0. Audrey Seiler delivered a stellar performance in the circle, allowing only one hit and striking out 13. Katelyn Marx contributed significantly, going 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Melanie Pfieffer also added an RBI. Katelyn Marx received the Mental Attitude Award.

The Class 3A championship provided the most dramatic contest, with Indianapolis Cathedral holding off Hanover Central 5-4 to win their first-ever softball state title. Anna Moore led the Irish offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Kelsey Beres also contributed with a 2-for-2 performance and an RBI, while Curstyn Hansbrough went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Anna Moore's all-around performance earned her the Mental Attitude Award, capping off a stellar career. For Hanover Central, D. Young pitched a complete game, allowing four earned runs and striking out eight, also contributing one of the team's four hits. Sienna Stilly and Ferguson each drove in two runs.

Class 4A provided an extra-inning thriller as Crown Point outlasted Center Grove 2-0 in nine innings. Paige Liezert delivered an unforgettable performance in the circle, pitching all nine innings and securing the win for the Bulldogs. Sophia Liezert threw a 16-strikeout masterpiece, and a clutch two-run blast in the ninth sent the Bulldogs to their second state title (first since 2017). Center Grove's Sydney Herrmann was recognized with the Mental Attitude Award.
