More recently, there was speculation about a film titled Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, directed by Niranjan Iyengar, however, it could have been a PR move.

In the past, Shanaya has addressed the topic of being compared to her contemporaries and being trolled. She acknowledged that such things do affect her, as she is human. However, she maintains that everyone is on their own journey and focuses on her own career path. She also stated that she views healthy competition as important, but considers herself to be her main competition.
