An Indian conglomerate, Mont Vert Group, has entered into a significant agreement with Kazakhstan's Big B Corporation to establish a multi-specialty hospital and medical university in Kazakhstan. The $500 million project aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure and medical education within the country.

The project will consist of a medical college with the capacity to accommodate 10,000 students and a 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospital. The facilities will be located in Astana and Almaty, covering 343 hectares of land. The Kazakh government approved 243 hectares in Astana and 100 hectares in Almaty for the project last October.

Mont Vert Group, a real estate firm based in Pune, India, will be responsible for the construction and development of the project. This initiative is a joint venture between multiple corporate groups, including SRAM & MRAM Group, Big B Corporation, and KAZIND Medical Group of Kazakhstan. The collaboration aims to expand healthcare infrastructure and reduce the need for Kazakh citizens to seek medical treatment abroad.

The announcement of this collaboration occurred during the 30th-anniversary celebration of SRAM & MRAM Group in London. Dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Jayantilal Kaneria, Chairman of Mont Vert Group; Mr. Neeraj Kaneria, Managing Director of Mont Vert Group; Mr. Ajay Bhandari, Director of Big B Corporation (Kazakhstan); and Mr. Mahendra Joshi, Director of SRAM & MRAM Group.

This project is not the first instance of international collaboration to enhance Kazakhstan's medical infrastructure. In February 2023, KAZIND Medical Group announced plans to construct a medical university in Kazakhstan, working closely with SRAM & MRAM Group. This earlier initiative also focused on establishing a hospital, facilitating medical equipment, and creating a medical university in Almaty.

The establishment of the medical university and hospital is expected to strengthen Indo-Kazakh ties and provide advanced medical technology and global healthcare services to the region. Mont Vert Group has a strong track record in real estate, having delivered over 6.8 million square feet of residential and commercial projects. The collaboration represents a strategic partnership to advance medical education and healthcare in Kazakhstan.
