Brewers Reacts Survey: Fans Choose Who Should Represent Milwaukee at the MLB All-Star Game

As the 2025 MLB All-Star Game approaches, speculation is mounting regarding which Milwaukee Brewers player will represent the team at Truist Park in Atlanta on July 15. While the Brewers may not have a clear-cut, standout All-Star candidate this year, several players are deserving of consideration. A recent poll of Brewers players revealed a surprising pick for the team's All-Star representative: relief pitcher Abner Uribe.

Uribe, 25, has emerged as a reliable force in the Brewers' bullpen this season, a stark contrast to his rocky 2024 campaign, where he spent a significant amount of time in Triple-A and posted a 6.91 ERA in 14 big-league appearances. This season, however, Uribe leads the majors in holds and ranks third among National League relievers in strikeouts, boasting an impressive 2.25 ERA. His teammates clearly recognize his value, as he received more votes than any other player on the team in the recent poll.

While Uribe may be a surprising choice to some, his performance this season speaks for itself. He has been instrumental in keeping the Brewers in close games, contributing significantly to their 48-38 record. Although he may not be a household name, his teammates believe he is worthy of All-Star recognition.

However, Uribe isn't the only Brewer deserving of All-Star consideration. Right-handed pitcher Chad Patrick has also been impressive. After making the team out of spring training, Patrick has seized his opportunity and become one of the best rookie pitchers in the National League. Through 14 games, he has a stellar 2.84 ERA and leads the Brewers in quality starts. His performance has placed him in contention for Rookie of the Year, further strengthening his case for an All-Star nod.

Offensively, first baseman Rhys Hoskins has been a consistent presence in the Brewers' lineup. With an .803 OPS, he leads the team and is arguably their most deserving position player. While his power numbers could be higher, Hoskins has been the Crew's most reliable hitter throughout the season.

Other potential All-Star candidates include second baseman Brice Turang and outfielder Sal Frelick. Turang, coming off a Platinum Glove-winning season, is known for his exceptional defense. Offensively, he is batting .266 with a .347 OBP and has showcased his speed on the bases. Frelick leads the team with a .293 average and has been a valuable asset in the outfield.

Veteran outfielder Christian Yelich, a former MVP, could also make a late push for an All-Star spot. After a slow start to the season, Yelich has regained his form and leads the team with 14 home runs. However, he may be selected due to name recognition. Freddy Peralta has also had a great season, boasting a 7-4 record and a 2.76 ERA.

Ultimately, the decision of who will represent the Brewers at the All-Star Game will be a difficult one. While Abner Uribe has the backing of his teammates, other players like Chad Patrick, Rhys Hoskins, and Sal Frelick have also made strong cases for themselves. Regardless of who is chosen, the Brewers will be well-represented at the Midsummer Classic.

Brewers fans can cast their votes for their favorite players at MLB.com/vote or brewers.com/Allstar. The first phase of voting runs through June 26, with the All-Star starters being revealed on July 2. The complete All-Star Game rosters will be announced on July 6.
