The 134th edition of the Durand Cup, Asia's oldest football tournament, is set to take place from July 23 to August 23, 2025. This year marks a historic moment as the tournament will be hosted across five states for the first time: West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, and Manipur.

The 2025 Durand Cup will feature 24 teams, a mix of Indian Super League (ISL) clubs, I-League teams, and representatives from the Indian Armed Forces. Several ISL clubs have opted out due to uncertainties surrounding the ISL season schedule.

The 24 teams will be divided into six groups. The official groups are expected to be announced soon. However, tentative groupings have been reported, with Diamond Harbour FC potentially drawn alongside Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan SC.

The tentative fixtures for the 2025 Durand Cup have been released. The tournament is scheduled to kick off on July 23 and conclude on August 23. The opening match is slated to feature East Bengal against South United FC. A highly anticipated match is between Mohun Bagan SG and Mohammedan SC, scheduled for July 31.

The Durand Cup shifted its base to Kolkata in 2019 and will continue to hold that status for the sixth consecutive year. Kokrajhar in Assam will host the Durand Cup for the third consecutive year, with Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and Shillong in Meghalaya added as hosts last year.
