Amidst swirling rumors and conflicting reports, Diljit Dosanjh has seemingly confirmed his continued involvement in the upcoming sequel, No Entry 2. This comes after a period of uncertainty where reports suggested his exit from the project due to creative differences or scheduling conflicts. The original No Entry, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor, was a major success in 2005, starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan. No Entry 2 aims to recapture the comedic magic with a fresh cast, including Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, alongside Dosanjh.
The speculation surrounding Dosanjh's role in No Entry 2 reached a fever pitch recently, with various sources claiming he had walked out of the film. Some reports cited creative differences as the reason for his departure, while others pointed to scheduling issues. Boney Kapoor, the producer, addressed the rumors, stating that while there were date issues, there were "certainly no creative differences". Director Anees Bazmee also weighed in, mentioning that scheduling conflicts were the primary concern and expressing hope that the issues would be resolved.
Adding fuel to the fire, Diljit Dosanjh himself recently shared a funny vlog on Instagram featuring Anees Bazmee and Boney Kapoor. In the video, Dosanjh jokingly refers to Bazmee as his "favorite director" and alludes to the film's title with the quip " ishq di gali vich no entry ". This lighthearted affirmation seemingly puts the rumors of his exit to rest, suggesting that he is still very much a part of the project.
No Entry 2 has been in the works for quite some time, with Boney Kapoor announcing the sequel in March 2024. While the original cast will not be returning due to scheduling conflicts, Kapoor has assured fans that the sequel will be even better. The film is expected to have a fresh comedic take, with Tamannaah Bhatia joining the cast in a role mirroring Bipasha Basu's from the first film. Aditi Rao Hydari is also reportedly in talks for another lead role.
The film is slated to release on October 26, 2025. News reports have stated filming is scheduled to begin in mid-2025.
Apart from No Entry 2, Diljit Dosanjh has several other projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in Border 2, scheduled to release on January 23, 2026. He is also starring in Sardaar Ji 3, a Punjabi horror-comedy set to release on June 27, 2025. Additionally, Dosanjh is collaborating with Imtiaz Ali for a film slated for release in April 2026.
