Following the death of her father, Raman Rai Handa, Mannara Chopra has issued her first statement, expressing gratitude for the support she has received. Raman Rai Handa, a lawyer at the Delhi High Court, passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving behind his wife, Kamini Chopra Handa, and daughters Mannara and Mitali.
Mannara shared an official statement on her Instagram Stories, conveying the family's profound grief and sorrow. The statement read, "With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family".
The cremation ceremony took place on June 18, 2025, in Mumbai, where Mannara and Mitali were seen bidding a tearful farewell to their father. Videos and photos circulating on social media captured the sisters' emotional state as they held each other for support, dressed in white. Mannara was also seen insisting on helping carry her father's bier, demonstrating her deep love and respect for him.
Priyanka Chopra, Mannara's cousin, also shared a message on her Instagram, expressing her condolences. She wrote, "You'll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti". Siddharth Chopra, Priyanka's brother, also shared a message, writing, "Will miss you Raman uncle".
Raman Rai Handa was remembered as a pillar of strength for his family, a respected lawyer, and a warm and steady presence. Many members of the Chopra and Handa families attended the funeral to pay their respects and support Mannara and her family during this difficult time. Parineeti Chopra's father, Pawan Chopra, and her brother Sahaj Chopra were also present to comfort the grieving family.
