The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced the launch of its Housing Scheme 2025, offering 177 residential flats through an e-auction. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing options to middle and lower-income groups in Delhi.
The flats are located in prime areas across Delhi, including Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, Jasola, and Ashoka Pahari. The scheme includes High Income Group (HIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and Low Income Group (LIG) flats, catering to a diverse range of applicants. In addition to the flats, the e-auction will also offer 67 car and scooter garages situated in the same prime locations.
The DDA Housing Scheme 2025 is expected to offer numerous residential flats in various categories, from 1 BHK apartments to larger, more luxurious units. These flats will have good connectivity to public transport, hospitals, commercial hubs and schools. The homes are designed with modern amenities, including sanitation, green spaces, and reliable water supply.
To participate in the DDA Housing Scheme 2025, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria: * Must be a citizen of India. * Must have attained 18 years of age on the date of application submission. * For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats, the annual family income must be less than Rs. 10 lakh. * Must possess a PAN card and an active savings bank account. * Both husband and wife can apply separately, but only one will be allotted a flat if both are selected.
The DDA has also taken other significant decisions to boost the real estate sector in Delhi. Amalgamation charges for commercial properties have been reduced from 10% of the circle rate to 1%. The multiplication factor for the auction of commercial properties has also been reduced from twice the circle rate to 1.5 times. These changes aim to align DDA's property valuation more closely with market realities and make Delhi more competitive within the National Capital Region (NCR). The DDA hopes these changes will incentivize real estate developers to develop commercial areas, promote investment and employment in the city.
The DDA has approved changes to land use in sectors of Narela to help create an education hub and for the development of a multi-sports integrated stadium and sports complex. There is also an approved discount on bulk purchases of unsold flats in Narela by government departments and universities. Government agencies and universities purchasing a minimum of 10 flats will be eligible for a discount of 25% on LIG flats and 15% on MIG, HIG and EWS flats in Narela.
The DDA Housing Scheme 2025 presents a valuable opportunity for individuals and families looking to own a home in Delhi. With flats available in various categories and prime locations, the scheme caters to a wide range of needs and preferences. The online application process and the e-auction format make the scheme accessible and transparent, ensuring a fair opportunity for all applicants.
