A scuffle broke out on stage at a Patna event just before the arrival of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav. The incident occurred at the "Chaurasia Rajnaitik Chetna Sammelan".
Reports indicate that the brawl was triggered by disagreements over stage arrangements, briefly disrupting the event. A video shared by the news agency ANI shows two men aggressively pushing each other. The incident took place on July 13, 2025.
This isn't the first time an event involving Tejashwi Yadav in Patna has faced disruptions. On June 29, 2025, Yadav narrowly escaped injury when a drone crashed into his podium during a rally at Gandhi Maidan. The incident happened while he was addressing the 'Save Waqf, Save Constitution' rally. According to Patna SP (Central), Diksha, the police are investigating the incident, as the area was restricted and such an object should not have been there. Yadav, however, quickly regained composure and continued his speech.
Prior to that, on June 26, 2025, a chaotic crowd eager to take selfies with Yadav after an event at Gyan Bhawan in Patna caused a glass gate to shatter, injuring one party worker.
These incidents come at a politically charged time in Bihar, with Assembly elections due in a few months. Parties are actively campaigning, and the RJD and Congress are working to unseat the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar.
In related news, Tejashwi Yadav has been critical of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding law and order in the state. This follows the murder of a businessman in Patna, leading Yadav to question Kumar's silence on the matter.
