Following the immense success of "RRR," Ram Charan is currently filming "Peddi," a highly anticipated Telugu film directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The movie, which is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, has already generated considerable buzz.
Amidst the excitement surrounding "Peddi," producer Naga Vamsi hinted that Ram Charan might undertake another project before commencing his collaboration with director Sukumar. This statement, made during a promotional interview for Vijay Deverakonda's "Kingdom," has ignited speculation among fans.
Ram Charan is set to collaborate with director Sukumar for a project tentatively titled "RC 17". This marks their second venture together after the blockbuster "Rangasthalam". A massive set resembling Vizianagaram town from the 1980s is being constructed near Hyderabad. Art director Avinash Kolla is recreating villages, roads, a railway station, and a sports stadium to capture the era and feel of the story. Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights for "Peddi" for approximately ₹105–110 crore, marking one of the highest deals for a Telugu film. The film's narrative revolves around a spirited villager who inspires his community through sports, specifically cricket, set in the 1980s in rural Andhra Pradesh.
