Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2 and MTV Roadies XX, has recently addressed the impact of controversies on his life and family, expressing a sense of vulnerability amidst the allegations surrounding him. In a recent interview, Yadav opened up about how these controversies have affected him, leading him to question whether fame has become a sin.

Yadav has been embroiled in several controversies, including making derogatory remarks against other content creators, passing sexist remarks toward female celebrities, and giving death threats to a fellow YouTuber. He was also accused in the snake venom smuggling case, which led to his arrest under the Wildlife Act for allegedly providing snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties. Samples from his party confirmed the presence of snake venom of the Cobra Krait species.

In March 2024, Yadav was involved in a public showdown with YouTuber Maxtern (Sagar Thakur), which involved physical assault and an FIR being filed. Maxtern accused Yadav of not only physically assaulting him but also attempting to kill him. Videos of the incident surfaced on social media, but Maxtern later withdrew the police complaint after the duo announced they had made peace.

Earlier this year, Yadav faced criticism for making offensive comments about Bigg Boss 18 finalist Chum Darang during a podcast. He mocked her name, questioned her nationality, and made inappropriate statements about her role in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The National Commission for Women (NCW) took cognizance of the matter and summoned Yadav to address the racially insensitive comments. Yadav later removed the offensive content and stated that he didn't want negativity. The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) also criticized Yadav's remarks, stating they were an insult to Darang and women across Northeast India.

In February 2025, a case was registered against Yadav for posting a misleading video that claimed he was escorted by the Rajasthan Police for a music video shoot in Jaipur. Police clarified that no official security was provided and booked him for trying to damage the reputation of the Rajasthan Police. The video showed Yadav's car passing through a toll booth, followed by a police vehicle, without paying any fee.

Yadav has also had a contentious relationship with the media, often accusing outlets of misrepresenting him and referring to certain media personnel as "paid media". He was also accused of misbehaving with a journalist by snatching his mic when asked about his Vaishno Devi temple visit in December 2023.

Addressing these controversies, Yadav said that people often form an opinion that he is evil or rude based on the allegations, even though none of them have been proven in court. He emphasized the difference between being accused and being acquitted, stating that the court makes these decisions. He also spoke about the impact of these allegations on his family, noting that his parents get upset when false allegations are made against him. "It does affect me, I keep thinking about this every day, that I have to deal with things that I have not even done. Sometimes I wonder if being so famous has become a sin, but then I think, what difference will it make if I dwell on it?".

Despite the controversies, Yadav has continued his career, recently winning MTV Roadies XX as a gang leader. He also revealed that he was approached for Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 but rejected the offer due to his fear of crocodiles. Currently, he is appearing on Laughter Chefs Season 2. Yadav has expressed a desire to stay away from controversies and focus on his work and positive relationships with his co-stars.
