Recently, Rohman Shawl, a model-turned-actor, engaged in a candid conversation with Instant Bollywood, where he discussed Sushmita Sen's fondness for diamonds. When asked if he had ever gifted her a diamond, Rohman responded with honesty and a touch of humor, stating that the kind of diamond Sushmita likes is currently beyond his financial means. In his words, "Jis hisab ke unko diamond pasand hai, abhi meri aukaat nahi itna bada kharidne ki. Toh jis din uss layak banunga, Inshallah zaroor," which translates to, "The kind of diamond she likes is currently beyond what I can afford. But the day I become capable of it, God willing, I definitely will".
Rohman further revealed that Sushmita has a particular fondness for a 22-carat diamond. He acknowledged that it would take considerable time and effort to be able to afford such a precious gem, but expressed his hope to be able to gift it to her in the future. "Unka ek pasandita diamond hai, woh 22 carats ka hai. Toh woh kamane ke liye bahot waqt hai, but Inshallah jaldi," he said, meaning, "She has a favourite diamond, it's 22 carats. It will take a lot of time to earn that much, but God willing, soon".
Despite their breakup, Sushmita and Rohman have remained good friends. Sushmita publicly announced their separation in December 2021 via an Instagram post, stating, "We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains!!". Their continued appearances together have often led to rumors of a potential reconciliation, though neither has addressed these speculations.
