Following the release of her film Saiyaara, actress Aneet Padda was recently spotted in Mumbai. This marks one of her first public appearances since the movie's debut, where she was seen visiting a salon with a friend.
Padda's appearance quickly caught the attention of paparazzi. Seemingly caught off guard, the actress appeared to be avoiding the cameras. Dressed casually, she maintained a composed demeanor as she made her way to her car, refraining from interacting with the photographers.
Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, was released in theaters on July 18 and stars Padda opposite Ahaan Panday. The film tells the story of Vaani Batra (played by Padda), an aspiring journalist, and Krish Kapoor (played by Panday), who dreams of becoming a singer. Their love story explores how love can overcome obstacles.
While Saiyaara is receiving mixed reviews, Padda is earning praise for her performance. The film has also achieved commercial success, crossing ₹100 crores at the box office within four days.
Notably, Saiyaara isn't Padda's first foray into acting. She made her debut in Salaam Venky (2022), where she played a small role alongside Kajol. In 2024, she starred as Roohi Ahuja in the Amazon Prime Video series, Big Girls Don't Cry. She has also appeared in commercials for brands like Paytm, Nescafe, and Cadbury.
Mohit Suri cast Padda in Saiyaara after a standout audition. He was looking for someone real and un altered. According to Suri, Aditya Chopra introduced him to Ahaan. Suri said that during his first meeting with Padda, which he considered disastrous, Ahaan helped ease the situation.
Padda's social media following has increased since the release of Saiyaara. Prior to the film's release, she had approximately 350,000 followers; that number has since surpassed 1.1 million.
