The funeral was held on June 3rd in Mumbai, with many of Vibhu's friends and colleagues from the television industry in attendance to pay their respects. Addite Malik shared details of the funeral, describing Vibhu as "the purest soul, a beacon of strength & positivity" whose "smile could light up any room."
