Huma Qureshi is set to star as a "hitwoman" in Baby Do Die Do, the first film produced under the banner of Saleem Siblings, a production house recently launched by Huma and her brother, Saqib Saleem. On Huma's birthday, Saqib dropped a teaser for the film, generating excitement among fans and industry insiders.
Saleem Siblings was introduced with an emotional note that quickly went viral, expressing the siblings' long-held dream of telling stories meant for the big screen. The note described their journey to Mumbai with "a suitcase full of dreams and a heart full of madness," emphasizing the belief that they would get a chance to tell the stories they grew up watching. They emphasized that Saleem Siblings isn't just a company but "the name of every silly childhood game, every heartbreak we turned into a scene, every dinner table fight that ended in a script".
While the Baby Do Die Do teaser has been unveiled, it is exclusively being shown in theaters before Rajkummar Rao's latest release, Maalik, which features Huma Qureshi in a dance number. Huma and Saqib explained that they wanted the first glimpse of the film to be experienced on the big screen, as the film is made for that format. Digital release of the teaser will happen eventually, though no date has been confirmed yet.
Baby Do Die Do is directed by Nachiket Samant and is described as a neo-noir crime comedy set in Mumbai's underbelly. The film features an ensemble cast including Chunky Pandey and Sikandar Kher. Sikandar Kher, who has previously worked with Huma Qureshi in Monica, O My Darling and with Saqib Saleem in Citadel: Honey Bunny, expressed his excitement about reuniting with both actors in this project. He shared that Saqib is a pleasure to work with as a producer and praised Huma as a thorough professional and a joy to work with.
Sources indicate that Baby Do Die Do is a whodunnit where each character has ulterior motives. Filming for the movie wrapped up in February after a start-to-finish schedule in Mumbai. The movie was shot at real locations across the city, including scenes filmed on local trains with real commuters. Huma and Saqib are aiming to release the film in theaters before the end of the year.

She is also slated to appear in Geetu Mohandas' action-drama, Toxic, планиран за пускане през уикенда на Eid 2026.
