Rashmika Mandanna is keeping her fans on their toes with glimpses into her upcoming Telugu film, "The Girlfriend." Following the release of the music video for "Nadhiye" in July 2025, the actress has teased her followers with snippets related to a second song from the movie.
"The Girlfriend" is a romantic drama helmed by director Rahul Ravindran, marking his return to directing after four years. The film features Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role, with Dheekshith Shetty playing her boyfriend. The movie boasts a musical score by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
While details about the second song are still under wraps, the release of "Nadhiye" has already given audiences a taste of the film's musical landscape. Sung and arranged by Hesham Abdul Wahab, with lyrics by Rakendu Mouli, "Nadhiye" features Rashmika and Dheekshith.
The film's narrative revolves around a complex love story, with Rashmika's character navigating intricate relationships. A glimpse of this was offered in the title reveal, accompanied by a voiceover that hinted at the protagonist's possessive nature. The dialogue, "I love her so much that she doesn't need friends, family, or anyone else. I am all she needs. I just want her to be with me 24/7. To have a girl I can call mine," set a tone of intense devotion. The teaser further showed Rashmika's character experiencing difficulties in her college love life, suggesting an emotionally charged narrative. Vijay Deverakonda has lent his voice for a special narration in the movie.
