S.S. Rajamouli, the celebrated director of films like "Baahubali" and "RRR," was spotted with his family, heading out to watch the highly anticipated action film "War 2," starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. "War 2" has been one of Indian cinema's most awaited films.

The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, features Hrithik Roshan returning as Major Kabir, this time facing off against a formidable new adversary, Vikram, played by Jr NTR. Kiara Advani also stars, portraying both Kabir's love interest and a fellow soldier. The film is slated for release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan, along with director Ayan Mukerji and producer Naga Vamsi, attended a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad. Naga Vamsi is backing the Telugu version of the action thriller. At the event, Jr NTR emphasized that "War 2" should be seen as Hrithik's debut in Telugu cinema, rather than his own entry into Hindi cinema. He promised a warm welcome for Hrithik from his fans.

"War 2" has been hyped as an action-packed film with thrill, drama, and pan-India appeal.

Rajamouli's presence at a screening highlights the pan-Indian appeal of "War 2". Rajamouli is known for erasing the boundaries between South and North Indian cinema. The director's "Baahubali: The Beginning" and "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" are being re-released as one film, "Baahubali: The Epic," premiering October 31, 2025. A teaser for this will debut alongside Rajinikanth's "Coolie" and "War 2".
