The Kansas City Royals rallied to defeat the Chicago White Sox 6-2 on Saturday night, boosted by home runs from John Rave and Mike Yastrzemski. The Royals' victory pushed them above .500 for the first time since June 10.

The game began with an early scare for the Royals as Vinnie Pasquantino left in the first inning due to a heat-related illness. The game-time temperature was 94 degrees with high humidity. Nick Loftin shifted from left field to first base, and John Rave replaced Loftin in left field. Rave made an immediate impact, hitting a solo home run in the third inning.

Mike Yastrzemski led off the game with a home run. The Royals added another unearned run in the second inning. Rave's homer extended the lead to 3-0. In the fifth inning, Rave singled and scored on Maikel Garcia's two-run double. Loftin contributed an RBI single in the sixth. Andrew Benintendi hit a two-run double for the White Sox in the eighth inning.

Michael Lorenzen made his first start for Kansas City since July 6, pitching four scoreless innings and allowing three hits. Daniel Lynch IV (5-2) earned the win. Sean Burke (4-10) took the loss for the White Sox.

Rave's performance was a key moment in the game, especially his home run in his first at-bat. The Royals had struggled to get above .500, losing their previous five attempts. With the victory, the Royals improved to 62-61.

Looking ahead, the White Sox were scheduled to start RHP Davis Martin (4-9, 4.17 ERA) against RHP Ryan Bergert (1-1, 2.87 ERA) of the Royals in the series finale on Sunday. The attendance for the game was 28,355, and the game lasted 2 hours and 51 minutes.
