Deepika Padukone is reportedly dedicating 100 days to the upcoming film tentatively titled "AA22xA6," starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee. Sources indicate that Padukone is scheduled to commence shooting in November 2025.
The film, which is generating considerable buzz, is expected to be a pan-Indian venture with a massive budget of approximately ₹600 crore, aiming for international standards in action and VFX. The film is touted to be one of the most technologically advanced films in Indian cinema, set in two distinct worlds, including an alternate universe reminiscent of Avatar.
Padukone has reportedly begun preparing for her role, which will involve dramatic and action-packed sequences. The team has designed a special warrior look and weapons for her character, promising a never-before-seen avatar of the actress. Allu Arjun will reportedly be seen in a triple role with multiple looks.
"AA22xA6" boasts an international crew to handle the action and visuals. Besides Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, the film features a stellar cast including Ramya Krishnan, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur in key roles. Ramya Krishnan's role is expected to add emotional depth to the film.
Atlee, known for his "mass + emotion" films such as "Jawan," is set to direct "AA22xA6" with Allu Arjun. He started his career as an assistant to director Shankar and quickly made a name for himself in Tamil cinema. His successful films include "Raja Rani," "Theri," "Mersal," and "Bigil".
The film is slated to be shot until September 2026, with the makers aiming for a release in the second half of 2027. Allu Arjun has reportedly blocked his calendar exclusively for Atlee's film, demonstrating his commitment to the project.
Padukone is also scheduled to shoot for "King" with Shah Rukh Khan starting in October 2025. She will be juggling between the shoots of "King" and "AA22xA6" from the end of 2025, marking her first two projects after becoming a mother.
