Keychain, a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) startup, has secured $30 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Wellington Management and existing investor BoxGroup, with participation from other returning investors. This brings Keychain's total funding to $68 million within just 18 months of its launch.
The funding will be used to further develop KeychainOS, their AI-powered operating system, and to expand their reach in both India and the U.S. KeychainOS is a SaaS-based platform designed to help manufacturers manage their production cycles more efficiently.
Keychain operates a search and discovery platform that connects CPG companies and retailers with co-packers. This network includes over 30,000 manufacturers and 20,000 brands and retailers, extending beyond the food industry into beauty and personal care. The company's AI algorithms help link brands and retailers with manufacturers.
Oisin Hanrahan, co-founder and CEO of Keychain, stated that the company has experienced rapid growth due to the clear demand for its services. He emphasized that applying AI allows KeychainOS to provide manufacturers with a smarter and faster way to manage their facilities. Molly Breiner, sector lead at Wellington Management, noted that Keychain is fundamentally redesigning the CPG supply chain.
Keychain's platform offers a range of AI-powered tools, including ingredient and packaging sourcing capabilities, and alternatives to traditional food safety auditing software, all aimed at accelerating the product development process.
Keychain was founded in 2023 by Jordan Weitz, Umang Dua, and Oisin Hanrahan. Hanrahan was also a co-founder of Handy. Keychain's initial seed funding of $18 million was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. In February 2025, Keychain raised $5 million in a Series A round. The company also secured €4.8 million in funding from Bright Pixel Capital to enhance its AI-powered manufacturing platform.
The company's platform aims to reduce the time it takes for CPG companies to find suitable manufacturing partners from months to days. Keychain's customers include major U.S. retailers like 7-Eleven and Whole Foods, as well as top CPG brands like General Mills.
Keychain is headquartered in New York City.
