Reports are circulating that Vijay Sethupathi may make a cameo appearance in Allu Arjun and Atlee's upcoming film, tentatively titled AA22xA6. This potential collaboration has generated buzz among fans, especially since Vijay Sethupathi previously worked with Atlee in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Jawan".

AA22xA6 marks Allu Arjun's 22nd film and Atlee's sixth directorial venture. The film is touted to be a high-budget, pan-Indian project with action and science fiction elements. Initial reports suggested that Allu Arjun would play multiple roles, possibly four, including a grandfather, father, and two sons, and that the film might explore parallel universes. However, more recent updates indicate that he will be portraying two distinct characters with differences in age, appearance, and mannerisms.

Atlee is reportedly aiming to create a film that transcends the typical "pan-India" movie and appeals to a broader audience. He is filming sequences in Mumbai on sets equipped with cutting-edge technology to seamlessly blend visual effects after filming. The production team is maintaining strict confidentiality to prevent any photos or videos from leaking.

Deepika Padukone has been cast as the female lead and is expected to begin shooting in November 2025, dedicating approximately 100 days to the project. Her character is described as a warrior with a unique look and specially designed weapons, showcasing a never-before-seen avatar of the actress. Other prominent actresses, including Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur, are also expected to be part of the cast.

AA22xA6 is being produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The film's announcement was made on Allu Arjun's birthday, April 8, 2025, with a special video offering a glimpse into the project's ambitious scope. The film is expected to involve top VFX companies and will be shot in India and the U.S..

The film is described as an alternate reality film, unlike anything seen before in Indian cinema. Some reports suggest the story is set across two distinct worlds, with an alternate universe. The production is scheduled to continue until September 2026, with a theatrical release targeted for the latter half of 2027.
