"Dhadak 2," starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is facing challenges at the box office despite positive reviews. The film, directed by Shazia Iqbal and backed by Karan Johar, has managed to cross the ₹15 crore mark after its first six days in theaters. However, its performance has been inconsistent, with a significant drop in collections after the opening weekend.

On its sixth day, "Dhadak 2" collected ₹1.00 crore, marking its lowest single-day earning so far. According to Sacnilk, the total domestic collection stands at ₹15.40 crore. The film opened with ₹3.5 crore on Friday, saw a slight increase to ₹3.75 crore on Saturday, and peaked at ₹4.15 crore on Sunday. However, collections plummeted on Monday, dropping over 60% to ₹1.35 crore, before rising slightly to ₹1.65 crore on Tuesday and then falling again on Wednesday.

Several factors have contributed to the film's struggle. "Dhadak 2" is facing stiff competition from other films, including Ajay Devgn's "Son of Sardaar 2" and the romantic drama "Saiyaara". "Saiyaara," in its third week, has already crossed the ₹300 crore mark. "Son of Sardaar 2" has also maintained a strong grip on audiences, earning over ₹31 crore in its first six days. Additionally, the animated film "Mahavatar Narsimha" is drawing audiences.

The filmmakers attempted to boost ticket sales by offering a special promotion of ₹99 per ticket on Tuesday. While this may have provided a slight bump, it wasn't enough to significantly impact the overall box office.

"Dhadak 2" is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film "Dhadak" and explores themes of inter-caste romance and social injustice. Triptii Dimri noted the film's message, hoping it would reach a wide audience and leave a positive note. Despite the positive message and performances, the film's marketing and promotional strategy may have been lacking, contributing to its underperformance.

The film had the highest number of screenings in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. While the National Capital Region (NCR) had the highest occupancy rate, other regions saw a decline in demand.

"Dhadak 2" has earned ₹2.75 crore overseas, bringing its total worldwide collection to ₹20 crore. However, based on current trends, the film is projected to end its theatrical run with a domestic collection of around ₹20 crore.
