Actress Sadia Khateeb is currently filming a new project in her home region of Kashmir, a location that holds a special place in her heart. This marks the second time the actress has filmed in Kashmir, the first being for her debut film, "Shikara".

"Shikara," directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, tells a love story against the backdrop of the 1990 Kashmiri Pandit massacre. Khateeb has expressed that "Shikara" will always be the most beautiful chapter of her life. She spent over a month shooting in Kashmir for the film, fully immersing herself in her character, Shanti. To prepare for the role, Khateeb lived in refugee camps and listened to the stories of the people living there.

Khateeb's return to Kashmir for her current project is a nostalgic and inspiring experience, as she feels deeply connected to the beauty, resilience, and spirit of her homeland. She has stated that shooting amidst the picturesque locale feels "absolutely blissful and amazing". When asked about priorities in life, Sadia stated that her priorities are her family, her hometown, and her work. She also expressed her fondness for natural environments.

While the details of the new project are under wraps, locals have spotted Khateeb filming in various scenic locations, generating excitement among her fans in the region. She was recently greeted at the Kashmir airport with a garland of flowers.

In addition to her current project, Khateeb is also set to appear in "Silaa". She also starred in "The Diplomat", a political thriller directed by Shivam Nair, explores India-Pakistan relations, themes of diplomacy, and the personal conflicts faced by diplomats. Khateeb plays Uzma Ahmed, an Indian woman who is forced into marriage and trapped in Pakistan. The film draws inspiration from the real story of Uzma Ahmed, who sought refuge at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad in 2017.
