Enrique Iglesias, 50, and Anna Kournikova, 44, are reportedly expecting their fourth child. The news, revealed by Spanish magazine Hola!, comes after Kournikova sparked health concerns earlier this year when she was seen in a wheelchair. The couple, who have been together for 24 years since meeting on the set of Iglesias's "Escape" music video in 2001, already have three children: seven-year-old twins, Lucy and Nicholas, and five-year-old Mary.
The pregnancy is progressing smoothly, and Kournikova is said to be halfway through. Recent photos showed her in Miami, casually dressed with a visible baby bump, while taking her children to school. This will be the ninth grandchild for Enrique's mother, Isabel Preysler.
Kournikova's appearance in a wheelchair in January 2025 caused worry among fans. She was seen at Bal Harbour Mall in Miami wearing a protective boot. However, Iglesias's mother clarified that it was just a minor foot injury, a sprain. More recently, Kournikova was seen walking without assistance while taking her children to martial arts classes, reassuring fans about her health as her pregnancy advances.
Kournikova's history of injuries during her tennis career also contributed to the concern. She retired from professional tennis at the young age of 21 in 2003 due to recurring injuries, including stress fractures and back strain. In an interview, she mentioned having injuries almost every year of her career. She had a stress fracture in 1997, a torn ligament in her thumb in 1998, and another stress fracture in 1999. Back issues also contributed to her early retirement.
Despite being together for over two decades, Iglesias and Kournikova have maintained a private family life in Miami and have never officially confirmed if they are married. Iglesias once explained that he didn't want to confuse people by saying "my girl" instead of something easier to understand. The couple prefers to keep their family life out of the spotlight, often surprising fans with baby announcements. They kept the arrival of their twins under wraps and only shared photos after the birth. Their third child, Mary, was also a surprise, confirmed by paparazzi photos of Kournikova on a yacht.
The family recently expanded their property portfolio by purchasing a five-bedroom home in Bay Point for $6.5 million. The couple's mansion has plenty of room for their growing family, with seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a large pool, and a tennis court.
While Iglesias continues his music career, he has emphasized that his family is his priority. He enjoys being at home with his children, taking them to school, and watching them grow. Kournikova, since retiring from tennis, has maintained a low profile, focusing on motherhood.
