Monalisa Bhosle, who captured hearts and went viral as the "Kumbh Mela beauty," is set to make her debut in Malayalam cinema with the film Nagamma. She will be starring opposite Kailash, an actor known for his role in Neelathamara (2009). The film is directed by P. Binu Varghese and produced by Jeeli George.

The pooja ceremony for Nagamma was recently held in Kochi, marking the official launch of the film. The event was graced by acclaimed filmmaker Sibi Malayil. Monalisa shared photos and videos from the ceremony on her social media. Dressed in a pastel pink lehenga, Monalisa's elegance and confidence garnered admiration.

Monalisa, whose real name is Moni Bhosle, hails from Maheshwar, near Indore in Madhya Pradesh. She gained widespread attention during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj earlier this year, where she was selling Rudraksha garlands. Her striking features and captivating smile earned her the nickname "Monalisa" and led to her photos and videos going viral across social media platforms. The unexpected fame prompted her father to encourage her to pursue new opportunities.

Before Nagamma, Monalisa had already received offers from the film industry. Bollywood director Sanoj Mishra offered her a role in The Diary of Manipur. She also appeared in the music video Saadgi, paired with singer Utkarsh Singh. However, Nagamma marks her first step into a professional acting career in South Indian cinema.

Kailash, Monalisa's co-star, is a seasoned Malayalam actor with over 50 films to his credit. He is best known for his lead role in Neelathamara. P. Binu Varghese, the director of Nagamma, previously directed Himuchri, which featured veteran actor Shankar.

Filming for Nagamma is expected to commence by the end of September. The film is anticipated to bring freshness with Monalisa's presence, balanced by Kailash's experience. Nagamma is more than just a movie role for Monalisa; it signifies the beginning of a larger dream taking shape.
