He wrote about the "secret pocket money she gave which my parents weren't aware of, protecting me from my Father's anger, and applying ubtan powder on me after playing in the summer hoping to de-tan me". He expressed gratitude for the quality time spent with her in her last days.

Allu Arjun also shared a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter), posting a photo of his grandmother and thanking everyone for their condolences. He wrote, "Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode. Her love, wisdom, and presence will be missed every single day". He also expressed his gratitude for the support from those near and far, stating, "Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came forward to share their affection and condolences. To those far away, your prayers and love were felt just as much".

Allu Kanakaratnam was the wife of the late Allu Ramalingaiah, a legendary comedian and Padma Shri awardee. She was a pillar of strength for the family and was deeply respected and loved within the Telugu film industry. She is remembered as a compassionate and humble woman who prioritized family values.

Ram Charan, who was filming for his upcoming movie "Peddi" in Mysore, immediately halted production to return to Hyderabad and be with his family to attend the last rites. Allu Arjun, who was in Mumbai for the shoot of his upcoming film with director Atlee, also rushed back to Hyderabad.

The final rites were held in Kokapet. Several Tollywood celebrities, including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Naga Babu, were present to offer their condolences. Chiranjeevi, also shared an emotional note on social media mourning her demise. Visuals from the funeral showed family members, including Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi, carrying the bier. Another video captured Ram Charan embracing Allu Arjun at his residence.
