The disaster has prompted an outpouring of support from various quarters, including Bollywood celebrities who are using their platforms to raise awareness, offer prayers, and provide assistance to the affected.

Several Bollywood personalities have expressed their solidarity with Punjab. Karan Johar took to Instagram, acknowledging the difficult time for those in Punjab and offering prayers and strength to overcome the adversity. He also urged his followers to contribute in any way possible and to share only verified information. Sidharth Malhotra shared his concern on X, expressing his heartfelt support for everyone affected by the floods in Punjab and praying for their strength, safety, and relief.

Beyond expressing concern, several celebrities are taking action to provide tangible assistance. Sonu Sood launched a dedicated helpline (+91 7888675107) through his Sood Charity Foundation to assist those in need. He also reassured flood victims that he would help them get back on their feet. Sood has arranged for the supply of essential goods to affected areas and facilitated rescue efforts, including the use of boats for evacuation.

Diljit Dosanjh has adopted 10 flood-affected villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar, collaborating with NGOs and the local administration to provide immediate relief and long-term rebuilding support. The floods have caused widespread devastation, claiming lives and displacing more than 2.56 lakh people across 12 districts. Villages remain submerged, and families have been left homeless. The overflowing Beas and Ravi rivers have caused some of the worst flooding in Punjab since 1988.

The support from Bollywood and other celebrities is providing a morale boost to the flood-affected communities and helping to mobilize resources for relief and recovery efforts.
