The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the new dates for the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025. The examination, initially scheduled for August 13th to 28th, 2025, was postponed due to technical glitches and administrative concerns encountered during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exam. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will now be held from September 12th to 26th, 2025.
The SSC CGL exam is conducted annually to recruit candidates for Group B and C posts in various government departments, including Income Tax, Customs, CBI, CBDT, and CBEC. This year, the examination aims to fill 14,582 vacancies. Lakhs of candidates have applied for these positions.
SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan revealed that the CGL Tier 1 exam will be conducted in a single shift each day, adhering to all necessary guidelines and protocols. The Commission will also implement key reforms, with exam centers located within a 100 KM radius of the candidates' registered addresses.
Candidates can anticipate the release of the SSC CGL City Intimation Slip 2025 around September 6th, 2025. This slip will provide information regarding the allotted exam city, date, and shift time.
