"P-POP CULTURE" has already achieved significant milestones. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, dated September 6, 2025. The album earned 12.4 million streams in Canada, marking the highest debut for a Punjabi-language album in Canadian history, surpassing Aujla's previous album, "Making Memories".
Internationally, the album has also made its mark, reaching No. 29 on the Australian Albums (ARIA) chart, No. 10 on the New Zealand Albums (RMNZ) chart, No. 44 on the UK Album Downloads (OCC) chart, and No. 19 on the US World Albums (Billboard) chart.
The music video for "For A Reason" has garnered over 40 million views and is the No. 1 trending video on YouTube Canada.
Aujla's Perspective
Aujla spent two years working on "P-POP CULTURE," calling it his most personal work. In an Instagram post, he reflected on the long hours and dedication he poured into the album. He said he aimed to create something he could enjoy both as an artist and as a fan of Punjabi pop culture.
Aujla has stated that the album helped him reconnect with his roots in his village, Karala, Punjab. Disc 1 of the album explores themes of love, vulnerability, and relationships, while Disc 2 reflects on his upbringing and the lessons he learned in his hometown.
