Sandeep Kumar Prasad, a 30-year-old Indian expatriate working as a technician in Dubai, has won the AED 15 million (approximately Rs 35 crore) grand prize in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Series 278 draw. The draw took place on September 3, 2025. Sandeep, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, has been residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the past three years.

According to news reports, Sandeep purchased the winning ticket, numbered 200669, on August 19 as part of a group of 20 individuals. He had been regularly purchasing tickets for only three months before hitting the jackpot.

Sandeep shared that upon receiving the call from the Big Ticket hosts, he was initially skeptical. However, he was overwhelmed with joy upon realizing that he had indeed won. Speaking to Gulf News, Sandeep expressed immense happiness, stating, "For the first time in my life, there is so much happiness".

Sandeep plans to use the winnings to support his family, particularly to address his father's health concerns. He also intends to start his own business in India. He expressed gratitude to Big Ticket and encouraged others to try their luck, saying, "If you try, you will also win".

Another Indian expatriate in Abu Dhabi, Shameem Moolathil Hamza Moolathil, won a BMW M440i in the same draw, with ticket number 019706 purchased on August 23. Additionally, six participants won Dh 100,000 (Rs 23,98,598) each as consolation prizes, and four other contestants secured special cash prizes up to Dh 150,000 (Rs 35,97,897) in the live Big Win contest.

Big Ticket Abu Dhabi has announced its September promotion, offering residents the chance to win multi-million-dirham jackpots, weekly cash prizes, and luxury cars. The Dh 20 million (Rs 47,97,19,600) grand prize will be announced on October 3 during the live draw, with four additional winners each receiving Dh 50,000 (Rs 11,99,299).
