In a tragic turn of events, a 37-year-old woman's quest for love has ended in murder in Rajasthan. Mukesh Kumari, an anganwadi supervisor from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, traveled approximately 600 kilometers to Barmer to meet Manaram, a school teacher with whom she had connected on Facebook in October of last year. Her aim was to convince him to marry her, but the meeting ended with her death.
Kumari, who had separated from her husband about a decade ago, had been in a relationship with Manaram and frequently made the long journey from Jhunjhunu to Barmer to see him. She was determined to settle down with him. However, Manaram's divorce case was still pending.
On September 10th, Kumari drove to Manaram's village in Barmer and went to his home, where she told his family members about their relationship. This reportedly angered Manaram, and the local police were called. The police intervened and counseled them, advising them to resolve the issue. Manaram then told Kumari that they would discuss it later.
That evening, Manaram allegedly struck Kumari on the head with an iron rod, resulting in her death. After the murder, Manaram is accused of placing Kumari's body in her car in an attempt to stage an accident. He then went back to his room and slept. The next morning, he informed his lawyer and asked him to tell the police about the body.
However, police became suspicious during the investigation. The phone locations of Manaram and Kumari were the same at the time of her death. During questioning, Manaram confessed to the crime and was taken into custody. Narendra Singh, Superintendent of Police for Barmer, confirmed that Manaram had killed Kumari and placed her body in her car.
The woman's body was discovered in her car, which was parked in the Shiv Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of the RIICO police station. Police are still investigating the motive behind the murder. The body has been taken to the morgue at the district hospital, where it awaits the arrival of her family members.
