According to Gorakhpur police, there are six accused in total, with four currently in police custody and two still at large. Prior to the police intervention, villagers apprehended one of the suspects, identified as Ajab Hussein, and subjected him to torture and vehicle damage. The family of the deceased, Deepak Gupta, is demanding a government job and financial compensation, and they are alleging police involvement in the crime.
