The 2025 Ballon d'Or ceremony, the 69th annual event recognizing the world's best footballers, took place on September 22, 2025. The awards celebrated the top players from the 2024–25 season.
Men's Ballon d'Or
Ousmane Dembélé of Paris Saint-Germain and France, was crowned the Men's Ballon d'Or winner. His outstanding performances in crucial knockout matches cemented his claim to the coveted award.
Women's Ballon d'Or
Aitana Bonmatí from Barcelona and Spain, secured the Women's Ballon d'Or for the third consecutive year. Despite Spain's loss to England in the Euro 2025 final and Barcelona's defeat by Arsenal in the Champions League final, Bonmatí's exceptional talent shone through. She was recognized as the best player at both the Euros and the Champions League. Bonmatí is the first player to win the award three times since its creation in 2018.
