Ahaan Panday, the rising star who made his debut in the blockbuster film Saiyaara, is receiving accolades from all corners, including veteran actor Anupam Kher. In a heartwarming exchange, Kher extended his support and advice to the newcomer as Panday navigates his entry into the world of cinema.

Saiyaara, a romantic comedy backed by Yash Raj Films, has not only achieved commercial success but has also resonated with audiences, becoming the highest-grossing film led by debutants. Panday stars alongside Aneet Padda, and both have become overnight sensations.

Anupam Kher, who released his directorial Tanvi The Great on the same day as Saiyaara, shared a selfie with Ahaan Panday on social media, offering words of wisdom and encouragement. Kher wrote, "NO GENERATION GAP HERE! Welcome #AhaanPandey to this wonderful jungle of creativity, fun, success, failure, blood rush, excitement, disappointments, joy rides, awards, rewards and lots of ups and downs… May you have a long, long innings in this magical world of madness called cinema! Jai Ho!”.

Panday responded with gratitude, commenting, “Truly grateful for your warmth, sir. Your words will stay with me as I step into this jungle to experience its might, light, and magic”.

Kher had also previously posted a video message praising Saiyaara, acknowledging its "magical success". He noted the symmetry of both his and Saiyaara director Mohit Suri being protégés of Mahesh Bhatt. Kher also stated that Saiyaara's success is good for the Hindi film industry.

Saiyaara’s success has been significant, drawing comparisons to the impact of films like Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak on previous generations. The film's director, Mohit Suri, mentioned the film's success kept him busy tracking numbers and occupancy, which caused him to spend less time with his family. Saiyaara is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ahaan Panday shared his happiness as an artist after the release of Saiyaara. He stated, "Very rarely as an artist does your work speak first... for the first time in a long time has a film come first and as an artist, that’s the best thing you could ask for".

Panday also reflected on the challenges he faced before his debut, including a difficult period after the passing of someone close to him. He found solace and motivation in his work, assisting on film sets and learning from other actors.

Adding to the outpouring of appreciation, fans of Saiyaara have even named a star after the film. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda expressed their awe and gratitude for this gesture. Panday said, "Seeing this now feels like the film found its place in the universe, somewhere in the galaxy where beautiful things go after they leave". Padda added, "Thank you for making our story feel infinite".
