Kajol has responded to Akshay Kumar's humorous reaction to her upcoming chat show with Twinkle Khanna, titled 'Two Much'. The show, set to premiere on September 25 on Prime Video, promises unfiltered conversations with Bollywood stars.
Akshay Kumar, known for his wit, earlier expressed his apprehension about the show. He shared the show's poster on his Instagram Story, saying he was "already scared" seeing Kajol and Twinkle together and couldn't imagine the "chaos" that would ensue.
At the trailer launch, Kajol and Twinkle were asked about their husbands' reactions to the show. Kajol laughingly said that she and Twinkle came together to "irritate them" and ensure "no more censorship". Twinkle added a cheeky remark, saying that while her husband, Akshay, often tells her "chashma pehen lo" (wear your glasses), which is code for "keep quiet," she responded by saying "chashma toot gaya" (the glasses have broken).
'Two Much' promises to be a unique talk show featuring a star-studded guest list, including Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Vicky Kaushal, and Janhvi Kapoor. The show aims to go beyond typical chat show formats, exploring psychological and societal layers with depth.
Kajol and Twinkle's friendship and chemistry are central to the show. They have known each other for a long time, and their conversations are known to be delightful and chaotic. Both hosts are known for their wit and humor. Kajol mentioned that they don't sugarcoat things, which might make some guests uncomfortable. Twinkle added that they are known to say things directly, which sometimes lands them in trouble.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video India, said that 'Two Much' is a first-of-its-kind talk show that will reinvent the genre, with Kajol and Twinkle bringing their signature blend of wit, feistiness, and insights to the conversations. Mrinalini Jain, Group Chief Development Officer–Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, added that the show is a bold blend of unfiltered honesty and sharp viewpoints.
