Thamma Trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana's Thrilling Leap Into Rashmika Mandanna's Fantastical Realm Revealed.

The trailer for "Thamma," starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, has officially dropped, offering a glimpse into Maddock Films' latest addition to its horror-comedy universe. The film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, is slated for a theatrical release on October 21, 2025, coinciding with Diwali.

"Thamma" marks the fifth installment in Maddock's horror-comedy universe, following the success of "Stree," "Bhediya," "Munjya," and "Stree 2". However, director Aditya Sarpotdar has clarified that "Thamma" will lean more towards romantic comedy with supernatural and mythical elements rather than pure horror-comedy. The film revolves around the theme of vampires, a relatively unexplored concept in Bollywood.

The trailer introduces Ayushmann Khurrana as Alok, seemingly an ordinary man who finds himself entangled in a world of vampires and ancient curses. He's seen jumping off buildings and performing stunts, indicating a departure from his usual roles. Rashmika Mandanna plays Tadaka, a mysterious woman with enhanced strength and agility, possibly a vampire or someone connected to a vampire cult. Nawazuddin Siddiqui appears as the main antagonist, Yakshasan, a terrifying vampire. The trailer hints at a battle between good and evil, with Ayushmann and Rashmika joining forces to fight a 1,000-year-old "betaal". Paresh Rawal and Faisal Malik also play pivotal roles in the movie.

The film's plot centers around vampires, reanimated corpses or beings that have returned to life and feed on the blood or life force of others. The trailer suggests a "bloody love story" between Ayushmann and Rashmika's characters, with flashback scenes hinting at reincarnation. Ayushmann's character, Thamma, has a connection with Rashmika's character, who is associated with a society that acknowledges or worships vampires.

The movie boasts a talented cast, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. Faisal Malik also plays a crucial role. Additionally, Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi will make special appearances in songs, while Varun Dhawan will have a cameo, reprising his role from "Bhediya".

"Thamma" is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, with Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Falara as writers. The soundtrack album is composed by Sachin-Jigar.

The trailer launch event was held at Bandra Fort Amphitheater in Mumbai, with Shraddha Kapoor, Dinesh Vijan, and the cast and crew in attendance.

With its blend of romance, comedy, and supernatural elements, "Thamma" promises to be a unique addition to Bollywood's horror-comedy landscape.
