Yogi Adityanath orders strict action against troublemakers during festivals, ensuring safety and communal harmony in UP.

As the festive season approaches, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict directives to maintain law and order, emphasizing that "no one should be spared" if they attempt to disrupt peace and communal harmony. With festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja on the horizon, the CM has directed officials to be on high alert and take decisive action against miscreants.

In a high-level meeting with senior officials, including District Magistrates and Police Commissioners, Adityanath laid out a comprehensive action plan focusing on security, public convenience, and women's safety. He stressed that the upcoming festivals should be celebrated with peace and security, and any attempt to disturb communal harmony would be dealt with sternly.

Adityanath has instructed police to identify sensitive areas, monitor repeat offenders, and take preventive action against potential troublemakers. He warned that miscreants or anti-social elements attempting to create tension would face severe consequences. "Such elements must be answered in their own language. We will not tolerate any kind of disturbance," he asserted.

The Chief Minister has also directed intensified monitoring of social media to prevent the spread of rumors, fake news, or provocative content that could incite tensions. He emphasized that strict legal action would be taken against those attempting to spread misinformation and incite communal disharmony.

Focusing on women's safety, Adityanath announced the launch of Mission Shakti 5.0, coinciding with Navratri. As part of this initiative, women police personnel will lead bike rallies in all districts to raise awareness. Anti-Romeo squads and women beat officers will be deployed at public places and schools, while women achievers under Mission Shakti will be honored. The CM has stated that accountability would be fixed from the local police station level to the police response vehicle (PRV) in cases of molestation, chain snatching, and acid attacks.

District Magistrates and Police Captains have been instructed to personally intervene in any untoward incident without delay. Police have been directed to conduct surprise inspections of slaughterhouses to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain law and order, particularly at Durga Puja and Ravana Dahan events. The CM also advised that idol heights remain within safety norms and that alternative arrangements for immersions be put in place to avoid disruptions.

The state administration has been advised to remain in constant communication with local religious leaders and community representatives to foster a spirit of cooperation and collective responsibility in maintaining peace. Adityanath has also emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in public spaces, particularly near religious sites and major event locations. He directed municipal bodies to deploy sanitation workers and ensure proper waste disposal mechanisms are in place.
