Gurugram, October 5, 2025 – An eight-year-old boy died after falling from a second-floor balcony while playing at his home in Gurugram. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday evening, according to police reports.

The victim has been identified as Raunak. According to the police, Raunak was playing with his younger brother near the balcony when the incident occurred. Raunak reportedly climbed onto the balcony grill, lost his balance, and fell onto the street below.

The family immediately rushed Raunak to a nearby hospital after finding him bleeding. However, he succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities were notified and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The boy's father told the police that his two sons were playing near the balcony when Raunak climbed onto the balcony grill and fell.

In February 2022, a similar incident occurred in Faridabad where an eight-year-old boy died after falling from the fourth-floor balcony of a building. The boy was standing on a chair on the balcony and leaned over when he lost his balance.

In another incident in Gurugram on September 25, 2025, a Class 10 student died after falling from the 19th-floor balcony of his house. Police are investigating whether it was an accidental fall.

The police have handed over Raunak’s body to his family after conducting a post-mortem examination. Further investigations are underway.
