Harry Kane admits Premier League regret despite stellar start with Bayern Munich in new season.

Harry Kane has admitted that his interest in a Premier League return has "gone down a little bit" after enjoying an excellent start to the season with Bayern Munich. The England captain is "fully all in" with the Bundesliga champions ahead of possible negotiations for a new deal.

Kane, 32, joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 and has quickly established himself as a key player for the German giants. He has scored 73 goals in 69 appearances for Bayern. His impressive form has led to speculation about a possible return to the Premier League in the future.

However, Kane has now revealed that he is less keen on a move back to England than he was before. Speaking to the press, Kane said: "I'm really enjoying my experience in Germany. The club, the team, the fans have all made me feel so welcome. My focus is fully on Bayern Munich, and I am hoping to win many titles here".

Kane's current contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2027. Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus has encouraged Kane to snub a return to England in favour of finishing his career in Bavaria. He told German newspaper Bild: “There are always rumours that Kane could return to England next summer to break Alan Shearer's record for most Premier League goals. I would recommend Kane stay at Bayern. I don't think Shearer's record is a motivation. He's done his work in the Premier League, and therefore he should end his career at Bayern".

Kane began his senior career with Tottenham Hotspur in 2009. He had loan spells with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City, and Leicester City. Kane is Tottenham's all-time top goalscorer and the Premier League's second-highest all-time goalscorer. In 2023, Kane became the most expensive signing in Bundesliga history when he signed for Bayern Munich. In his debut season, he scored 36 league goals, clinching a first European Golden Shoe, and in the following season, he earned his first major trophy, winning the Bundesliga. He has scored 74 goals in 109 appearances for England, making him their all-time top goalscorer.
