Jang Hae-Young, a member of the South Korean vocal group F-IV, has died at the age of 45 after a battle with cancer. The news of his passing, which occurred on October 6th, was reported on October 11th by Spotv News.

Kim Hyun-soo, a fellow member of F-IV, shared the news on social media on October 10th, posting a profile image of Jang with the message, "Goodbye. Let's sing together again when we meet in heaven". It was reported that Kim Hyun Soo had only recently learned of Jang's death.

Born in 1980, Jang Hae-Young studied Korean traditional dance at the Korea National University of Arts. He began his music career in 1997 as part of the duo Kid, known for their song "Oh! Nanriya". In 2002, he joined F-IV alongside Woo Jung Tae, Kim Hyun Soo, and Seo Ji Won. The group achieved significant success with hits such as "Girl," "Ring," "Merry Christmas," and "I'm Sorry," gaining a dedicated fan base. Jang also launched a solo career in 2009 with the single "Sorry for Being Ugly". In 2012, F-IV celebrated their 10th anniversary with the release of the fan song "Thank You".

In 2016, F-IV reunited for JTBC's variety program 'Two Yoo Project – Sugar Man', where they received attention for their enduring stage presence and vocal performance. During the program, Jang shared that he had been working as a freelance investment consultant and had been featuring as a vocalist for the project group EMP.
