Mukesh Bhatt Reveals He Was Not Invited To Alia Bhatt's Wedding and Hasn't Met Raha Kapoor

In a recent interview, producer Mukesh Bhatt, uncle of actress Alia Bhatt, has opened up about the strained family ties that have impacted him deeply. The veteran producer, who co-founded Vishesh Films with his brother Mahesh Bhatt, revealed that he was not invited to Alia Bhatt's wedding with Ranbir Kapoor, which took place on April 14, 2022. He also shared that he has yet to meet Alia and Ranbir's daughter, Raha Kapoor, who turned three this year.

Mukesh Bhatt expressed his disappointment at not being included in the wedding celebrations. "I will be a hypocrite if I say I didn't feel bad. Of course, I felt bad," he confessed in an interview with Lehren Retro. "I love Alia a lot, and not just her, even Shaheen. So when she got married, I thought meri bachi ki shaadi hai (my daughter is getting married). I was very much wanting to be there".

"When I got to know that Alia is pregnant and then she had a baby, meri aankhein taras gayi Raha ko dekhne ke liye (my eyes yearned to see Raha)," he said with emotion, conveying his affection for children.

When asked if he had attempted to reconnect with Alia, Mukesh explained that he refrained from doing so out of consideration for her. "I didn't even try because I didn't want to put her in a position of discomfort," he stated. "I didn't text her, but maine dil se dua de di (I blessed them from my heart)".

Despite the distance and strained relations, Mukesh Bhatt emphasized that his blessings are always with Alia and Ranbir. He chose not to reach out personally to avoid making Alia feel uncomfortable, especially considering the existing rift between him and her father, Mahesh Bhatt.
