The music industry is mourning the loss of another talented artist, Rishabh Tandon, following the recent death of Zubeen Garg. Tandon, a singer, actor, and composer also known as Faqeer, passed away in Delhi on October 21, 2025, due to a sudden heart attack. He was 35 years old.
Tandon's death comes shortly after the passing of Zubeen Garg, a prominent figure in Assamese music, who died on September 19, 2025, at the age of 52 in a scuba diving accident in Singapore. Garg was known for his contributions to Assamese, Bengali, and Hindi music, having recorded over 40,000 songs in 40 different languages.
Rishabh Tandon, based in Mumbai, had built a dedicated fanbase through his soulful performances and versatile artistic abilities. News of his untimely death was first shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, quoting a close friend of the singer. Tandon had traveled to Delhi to spend time with his family and had reportedly been feeling unwell.
Tandon's career included acting roles in projects such as "Faqeer- Living Limitless" and "Rashna; The Ray of Light". He also had several unreleased songs. In 2024, Tandon discussed taking a decade-long break from music to manage his father's business, during which he focused on introspection and self-discovery. He described this period as a time of healing and transformation, leading to his return to music with the series "Ishq Faqeerana".
Tandon is survived by his wife, Olesya, a Russian national. The couple, who lived in Mumbai, were known for their love of animals and had adopted several cats and dogs.
Some of Rishabh Tandon's popular songs include "Yeh Ashiqui" and "Ishq Fakeerana". He also sang "Chand Tu," a romantic song with a space theme; "Fakeer Ki Zubaani," a spiritual song; "Om Namah Shivaya," a spiritual rendition; and "Hindustan," a patriotic song.
