Faridabad Resident Arrested by NIA for Harbouring Delhi Bomber Umar
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended a resident of Faridabad, Haryana, in connection with the Delhi car blast that occurred near the Red Fort on November 10th. The accused, identified as Soyab, a resident of Dhauj, Faridabad, is the seventh individual to be taken into custody in connection with the case.
According to the NIA, Soyab provided refuge and logistical assistance to Umar Un Nabi, the suicide bomber responsible for the deadly attack, in the days leading up to the bombing. The blast resulted in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries. Investigations revealed that Umar Un Nabi was residing at Soyab's residence prior to executing the terror attack.
The NIA has been conducting extensive searches across multiple states, collaborating with local police forces, to identify and apprehend additional suspects linked to the bombing. The agency has stated that efforts are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy behind the blast.
The arrest of Soyab marks a significant development in the investigation, highlighting the network of support that enabled Umar Un Nabi to carry out the attack. The NIA's investigation has revealed that Soyab provided crucial logistical support to Umar before the November 10th bombing.
The NIA registered the case as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI and has been actively pursuing leads to dismantle the terror network. With the arrest of Soyab, the agency has now apprehended seven individuals believed to be connected to the Delhi blast.
