Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Shatters Records: Fastest Rs 500 Crore Film, Surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's Blockbuster.

Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar" is setting the box office on fire, achieving a significant milestone by becoming the fastest Bollywood film to cross ₹500 crore. The film reached this mark in just 15 days, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan," which took 18 days to reach the same milestone. Among Hindi films, only "Pushpa 2" reached the mark quicker, in 11 days.

Released on December 5, 2025, "Dhurandhar," directed by Aditya Dhar, stars Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The spy thriller has captivated audiences with its gripping plot and high-octane action sequences.

As of December 20, 2025, "Dhurandhar" has grossed ₹599.05 crore domestically and ₹152.93 crore overseas, accumulating a worldwide gross of ₹751.98 crore. The film's performance has been exceptional, even amidst competition from international releases like "Avatar: Fire and Ash". On its third Friday, the film earned ₹22.50 crore net domestically and around ₹35 crore gross worldwide.

"Dhurandhar's" success has shattered numerous box office records. It has logged the highest third Friday collection ever for a Bollywood film. During its two-week IMAX run, the film grossed ₹16.50 crore, surpassing "KGF: Chapter 2" to become the highest-grossing Indian film on IMAX in India.

The film's strong performance has propelled it into the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. It currently holds the 13th rank in the top 20 movies in India based on nett collection, outperforming films like "Dangal", "Avengers: Endgame," and "Avatar: The Way of Water". "Dhurandhar" has also surpassed the collections of Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" and Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal" in Hindi.

Industry experts predict that "Dhurandhar" is likely to cross the ₹1,000 crore gross global milestone with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. If the film continues its current trajectory, Ranveer Singh will join Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas in the elite ₹1000 Crore Club.

A sequel, "Dhurandhar: Part 2 – Revenge," is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026.
