Actor Mohitt Maalik has concluded the Jaisalmer schedule for Mirzapur: The Film and is now preparing to shoot in Mumbai. Maalik was recently seen at Excel Entertainment's office for the film's muhurat pooja, alongside Ravi Kishan and Jitendra Kumar, who are also joining the Mirzapur universe with this film adaptation.

Mirzapur: The Film is a cinematic continuation of the popular web series Mirzapur, which has garnered a significant following over its two seasons on Amazon Prime Video. Excel Entertainment, founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is producing the film. Akhtar had announced in October 2024 that the film would be released in 2026.

The film will see the return of several prominent cast members from the series, including Ali Fazal as Guddu Bhaiya, Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Shweta Tripathi Sharma as Golu, and Rasika Dugal as Beena. Shriya Pilgaonkar will also return as Sweety, despite her character's death in the first season. Divyenndu is also expected to reprise his role as Munna Bhaiya, even after his character's death in the second season.

The Mirzapur franchise has expanded with Mirzapur 3, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 5, 2024. The latest season featured Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik, and Manu Rishi Chadha.

While details about the roles of Mohitt Maalik, Ravi Kishan, and Jitendra Kumar are currently under wraps, their addition to the cast has generated excitement among fans. The muhurat pooja for the film was held in Mumbai, with several cast members in attendance.
