Akshay Kumar has unwrapped a Christmas surprise for his fans, announcing the film wrap of "Welcome To The Jungle" and offering a sneak peek into the movie with a first-look teaser. The comedy film, the third installment in the "Welcome" franchise, is slated for a theatrical release on December 25, 2026.
The 58-year-old actor shared his excitement about the project, calling it one of the biggest films of his career. He conveyed warm Christmas greetings on behalf of the entire "Welcome to the Jungle" team. "Wishing one and all a very Merry Christmas from the giant cast of Welcome to the Jungle! In cinemas 2026. Never have I ever been part of something so big…none of us have," Akshay wrote on social media. "We can't wait to present our gift to you. It's a wrap, people! Well done, gang. Such a huge effort from everyone involved in making this happen. From our big family to yours at home, we wish you nothing but the best for 2026.".
The teaser showcases a star-studded cast, including Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, and Johnny Lever, all clad in camouflage outfits. The promo opens with the cast in military uniforms, attempting to sing the signature "Welcome" tune. The teaser also hints at Akshay Kumar potentially playing a double role.
"Welcome To The Jungle" is produced by Firoz Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. The "Welcome" franchise started in 2007 with "Welcome," followed by "Welcome Back" in 2015. The original film starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, while the second film featured John Abraham and Shruti Haasan. Other cast members who have been part of the series include Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Neeraj Vora, and Mushtaq Khan.
Akshay Kumar had previously shared a note dedicating it to Katrina Kaif, who starred with him in the first "Welcome" film. "From our hearts to yours!! What a throwback, 18 years & still an all time favourite. With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha & I bring you 'Welcome to the Jungle'… Never forgetting our Queen Katrina," he wrote.
The film is expected to be a fun-filled ride packed with comedy, drama, and entertainment.
