A significant fire broke out at a JCB service center located in the Bhankrota area of Jaipur on Monday evening. The incident prompted a swift response from the fire department, with several fire brigades dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze.
According to officials, the fire erupted at the JCB Rajesh Motors plant, creating a chaotic scene as thick plumes of smoke billowed into the sky, visible from a considerable distance. Preliminary investigations suggest that the presence of a large quantity of tires, oil, and foam within the plant may have fueled the rapid spread of the fire.
Reports indicate that approximately 70 employees were present inside the plant when the fire started. Firefighters successfully rescued all 70 employees who were trapped inside the plant during a rescue operation that lasted approximately two and a half hours. Timely evacuation efforts ensured that there were no casualties reported as a result of the incident.
The location of the JCB plant near a petrol pump raised concerns about a potentially catastrophic scenario. Authorities and fire personnel prioritized securing the petrol pump to prevent the fire from spreading, averting a major disaster.
While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, initial assessments point to the presence of highly flammable materials within the plant as a contributing factor. The blaze engulfed over 50 JCB machines parked on the premises, causing extensive damage to their tires and other components.
The fire department faced considerable challenges in controlling the inferno, which raged for several hours. Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring properties.
Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the precise cause of the fire and assess the full extent of the damage. The investigation will also focus on reviewing safety protocols and emergency response procedures at the JCB service center to prevent similar incidents in the future.
