HCLTech has appointed Sandeep Saxena as the Chief Growth Officer for Growth Markets 2, effective Wednesday. In this role, Saxena will spearhead the company's business operations in India, the Middle East, and Africa. He will be based in Mumbai and report directly to CEO C Vijayakumar.

This strategic move underscores HCLTech's commitment to strengthening its focus on the Indian market, which is experiencing rapid growth. In the quarter ending December 31, India was the company's fastest-growing region, with a growth rate of 22.1%, although it currently contributes only 3.3% to HCLTech's total business.

Vijayakumar emphasized the significant opportunity presented by India's burgeoning economy. He stated that HCLTech intends to leverage its global scale, extensive expertise, and comprehensive capabilities to assist enterprises in harnessing next-generation technologies and accelerating growth. Vijayakumar also affirmed the company's dedication to supporting the Indian government's Viksit Bharat and Digital India initiatives by promoting digital transformation within the public sector and developing globally relevant intellectual property from India.

Saxena brings over 25 years of experience at HCLTech to his new position, having held various roles across different geographies. Most recently, he served as the Head of Europe for Consumer Services, Travel, Transportation, Logistics and Hospitality (TTLH), Retail and Growth Markets (France, Iberia, Africa). HCLTech has acknowledged Saxena's instrumental role in securing multi-year contracts with major European companies, including Equinor in July 2025 and Mondelez International in 2022.
